The Global Warming is Hitting Tourism In The Caribean

The Global Warming is Hitting Tourism In The Caribean

We can simply postulate that every person on the globe knows about global warming. Most people know about the reason for global warming. Simply put, more and more energy are put in a closed container . The amount of this energy is trapped by the Carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, which in turn comes from burning fossil fuel.

Recently, the Dominican government received a report detailing that, under their estimates, sea-level will rise by 6 meters under business-as-usual by 2050, eliminating the tourism industry and sending the country into complete chaos. The same would happen around the Caribbean. The fast development the region is seeing may be completely obliterated by global warming, and the same case goes for much of the rest of the developing world. The outcome would be to put billions of people in situations of poverty, hunger, and violence.

Another good reason is that people are standing up everywhere. We are seeing people getting together to deploy solutions, taking action to shut down fossil fuel projects, and even elect leaders who will do something about global warming. However some leaders here and there are hindering progress. But this should be no reason for people to lose hope. Within a few years, we may be seeing ourselves agreeing that the entire world can be carbon neutral within two decades – and that’s where we need to get ourselves for the sake of uncertainty, urgency, and the billions of people who will have to suffer as a result of something they didn’t do.

Over the years, many island nations have fought hard to be heard in the international arena about the effects that global warming is already having on them. Some islands have already been lost in the Pacific, and the forecast is that many more will go in the coming decades, especially if nothing is done to eliminate greenhouse gas emissions globally. Now, in the Caribbean, the picture is looking blak as well.

Global warming is certainly affecting tourism. The weather is not as predictable as it was and now there are many changes from one country to another. For example in England in December it should be cold but now it is getting warmer. Global warming is now a world wide problem which should be taken very seriously as it is affecting the economy.

You cannot guarantee the weather as much as you could. The seasons have certainly changed and you now get greater extremes closer together. The winters now are a lot milder and wetter, especially in England. Many people will now stay at home as a warm summer is predicted, so it must be affecting tourism

On the other hand some countries as Turkey, Bulgaria or Spain are not for the time being hit by global warming . The other contributing factor, which is a worldwide problem, is the economy, and many people just do not have the money to go abroad every year.
