Four facts about Japan and one simple proposal

Four facts about Japan and one simple proposal

I am here providing four simple just simple facts about Japan and the Japanese people after which I am offering one single proposal. The simple facts about Japan are:

1- The total length of the coast line of Japan is roughly 30000 km.

2- The total electricity consumption of Japan is 1000 Terra WH

3- The fishing in Japan is traditionally one of the most important aspects of economy. The Japanese love for all kinds of sea food is known to every body.

4- Too many tsunamis and earthquakes have hit Japan causing very tragic results as to lives and economy.

With these simple and simplified facts about Japan, and having been too much shocked with the most recent tsunami that has hit Japan, I provide the following proposal that is aimed to guard Japan against tsunamis, provide Japan with non nuclear energy, makes the coastline of Japan very attractive for tourism, and increases the total fishing and sea food production to five times or more.

The proposed project comprises the use of a system for extracting energy from the sea waves. Sea vessels in the national waters extending over 22 km. Leaving 2 km for the beaches and coastline activites. Remains 20 km. This gives an area of 600 000 square km.

The amount of power that can be extracted from this area is more than 240000 GW.

The proposed system should be and is going to be fish friendly, resulting to fish flourishing. In addition it is going to be tsunami absorbing and alarming.

The left 2 km for beaches will become wave-free, allowing all sea sports and providing safe swimming, and diving activities.

Compare it to the total electricity consumption of Japan.

Do not forget that the economic seawater border extends to 200 miles if not conflicting with other nations.

The question is should we do this. The answer is yes if we can. Now the second question, can we do this. The answer is, yes we can.
